Prof. Dr. Efthymios G. Tsionas is currently Professor at the Department of Economics, Lancaster University Management School (LUMS), United Kingdom. Also, he has acted as Professor at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), as a Visiting Professor at the Athens Laboratory of Business Administration (ALBA), as an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, and as a Teaching Associate at the University of Minnesota. Efthymios has taught numerous courses, such as Economics, Econometrics, Macroeconomics, Business Economics, Financial Markets, and Portfolio Analysis. His research focuses on Econometrics (Theoretical and Applied), Bayesian Analysis, Asset Pricing, and Efficiency and Productivity Analysis.
Prof. Dr. Tsionas has published several dozens of papers, including articles in peer-reviewed Journals, conference papers, papers in collective volumes, books, book reviews, lecture notes and working papers. He has published numerous articles in 4* and 3*Journals (ABS list) covering a wide range of research topics. His articles have appeared in scholarly Journals including: Review of Economic Studies, Journal of the American Statistical Association, Journal of Econometrics, European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Econometrics Journal, Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Development Economics, Review of International Economics, Advances in Econometrics, Economic Systems Research, Annals of Operations Research etc.
Efthymios has acted as an Associate Editor for Journal of Productivity Analysis, and a member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Applied Economics and Global Business and Economics Review. In addition, he acts as a referee for numerous scholarly Journals. Moreover, he has received fellowships for academic excellence (University of Minnesota, AUEB) and has attracted grants from various sources such as the University of Toronto Connaught Fund Grant, Association of Greek Automobile Importers, Greek Center for Social Research etc.
Efthymios holds a PhD from the University of Minnesota, an MA in Economics from the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), and a BA in Economics, also from AUEB.
